Red, White, & BBQ – A 4th of July Banner
Summer and barbecues are around the corner! Want to know a fun way to decorate for those summer get-togethers? Watch my video below on how to make a ribbon banner.

Supplies:
• 2 ½” Linen Stars and Stripes
• Handy dandy glue gun and scissors
Step 1: Cut burlap in 12” long pieces.
Step 2: Cut the 2 ½” patterned ribbon in 10” long pieces.
Step 3: Fold the pieces in half, then cut ends to banner style pieces.
Step 4: For this project, I used nine pieces of burlap and three pieces of each patterned 10” ribbon.
Step 5: Cut two 8” pieces of each patterned ribbon for a total of six pieces.
Step 6: Glue the folded burlap onto the cord.
Step 7: Glue the 10” patterned ribbon on the burlap
Step 8: Repeat Steps 6 and 7, alternating the burlap/ribbon pieces with 8” ribbon pieces until you get the length of the banner you want.

This project was inspired by the 4th of July, but you can easily re-create this banner for any occasion! I can’t wait to see what you make.
